Personal Style Highlight: Greek Island Daydreams & Muddy Boots

Some days you dress for the weather, some days you dress for the mood—and today was definitely a mood.

I threw on this baby blue linen dress that feels like it was made for a slow summer afternoon in Greece. It’s light and airy, with a romantic fit that makes me want to twirl down cobblestone streets or dance barefoot on a dock somewhere. Think Mamma Mia! energy, minus the heartbreak (but keep the drama).

To pull it all together, I wrapped a scarf around my head like a headband, tied in a soft little bow under my messy claw clip bun. It’s effortless, it’s nostalgic, and it has that slightly undone charm that makes it feel lived-in and dreamy.

And the boots. The boots. Chunky black rubber rain boots—an unexpected twist that instantly reminded me of Kate Moss stomping through Glastonbury mud like it was her personal runway. There’s something so satisfying about the contrast between the delicate dress and the tough, practical boots. They give the outfit some grit, a little edge, and a whole lot of personality.

So maybe I’m not on a Greek island (yet), and maybe there’s no music festival in sight—but this look? This look is my own personal summer daydream.

Styling Tips + Scarf Hacks:

Alternate Shoe Ideas:

  • Espadrille sandals – For a true Greek vacation vibe, switch to woven espadrilles or lace-up sandals.
  • Chunky Mary Janes or Docs – Keep the edge but go more ’90s alternative.
  • Low-top canvas sneakers – Add a casual, comfy feel without losing the charm.

Hair Scarf Hacks:

  • Classic headband – Tie the scarf around your head and tuck the ends underneath for a sleeker silhouette.
  • Neck tie moment – Wrap the scarf loosely around your neck for a retro Italian Riviera energy.
  • Bag accent – Tie the scarf onto the strap of your purse or tote when you want a break from wearing it
