Personal Style Spotlight: Real Summer Looks That Breathe

I really love summer outfits that are simple but still look like you put effort into them,” she says. “Comfort is the most important thing to me, especially when it’s hot out. But I still want to feel cute—and I think you can absolutely have both.”

Sometimes the best way to show how flowy fashion works is to live in it. Take this look: a lightweight floral cami layered over a fitted black tee, paired with classic denim shorts and socks with patent Mary Janes. It’s giving summer cottage energy with a side of cool-girl comfort.

“It’s been hot lately, and honestly the idea of wearing anything tight right now is just… no. I want to feel cute without feeling like my clothes are glued to me,” she says. And it shows. The top flows with movement, the shorts are structured but not restrictive, and the layering keeps things playful and breathable.

This outfit is a masterclass in the flowy but still shaped formula: fitted in some places (the tee), loose in others (the cami), with thoughtful details like the daisy socks that add personality without sacrificing comfort.
